Come and join a multicultural celebration event featuring film, music, food and dancing, to help launch a new initiative in W&P called ‘Community Contacts’, which will provide a personal point of contact for local people of black or other minority ethnic backgrounds who face language barriers, prejudice or are simply looking for a friendly face.
Multi Culture Club a great opportunity to catch an international film screening, hear good music and sample international cuisine, at one of Weymouth’s most historic venues. The celebrations will take place across both floors of the Hall.
A representative from Dorset County Council’s Extended Services for schools will also be present to promote a new ‘Language Cafe’ initiative starting this autumn to support school-aged BME children and their families.

The event is being organised by the South West Dorset Multicultural Network (SWDMCN), with support from Weymouth & Portland Borough Council, West Dorset District Council and Dorset Police.
