HALL HIRE CONDITIONS
Performances with a Public Audience
When booking space for a ‘performance’ event with an audience, you will need to discuss with one of the trustees of Weymouth Old Town Hall, the nature of the performance, audience numbers, ticketing arrangements, health & safety issues, staffing and main door supervision.
.
Note 4: Some events; particularly performances and entertainments, may need to be held as a ‘partnership’ with Weymouth Old Town Hall (in order to fulfil the requirements of Local Authority ‘Entertainments Licence requirements), which may require the negotiation of a percentage of ‘door takings’ (reflecting extra staffing and organisation).
.
.
Exhibiting
Artists wishing to exhibit at the hall, may have the option of doing so on a ‘commission only’ basis (usually 20% of works / merchandise sold) without paying the room hire fee.
